INDUSTRY THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND BUSINESS TRAVEL SHOW
Wednesday, November 23, 2011
Business Travel Show, 7-8 February 2012, Earls Court London
The corporate travel market is throwing its full support behind the Business Travel Show as long-term supporters, first timers and returning brands all sign up to exhibit at Europe’s leading corporate travel event next February. 125 exhibitors are already on the floor plan for 2012, a 25 per cent increase year on year, and with almost three months still to go.
American Express, Best Western Hotels, CWT, Egencia, Flybe, Heathrow Express, HRG, Japan Airlines, Premier Inn, Sabre Travel Network and Virgin Atlantic are but a handful of companies exhibiting at the Business Travel Show, which takes place 7-8 February 2012 at Earls Court in London.
Anthony Drury, head of UK, American Express Global Business Travel, commented: “We continually seek the best forums to connect with our clients, prospects and peers and the 2012 Business Travel Show provides an excellent platform. During the show we look forward to discussing current industry trends, sharing insights from our latest research and showcasing new, innovative services and technology.”
Well-known travel brands United Airlines, Sixt Rent a Car, Dolphin House, Go Native, Hotelscene, Oakwood Worldwide and Protea Hotels have all chosen to return in 2012 after time out.
2011 exhibitors Barclaycard, Redspottedhanky, Best Western Hotels, DataFlexNet and Egencia will all have an increased presence at the 2012 show.
And the following suppliers are exhibiting for the very first time: Hong Kong Airlines, Travelodge, Oman Air, Akkeron Hotels, City Apartments, Cotswold House & Spa, Egyptair, Evolvi, Exclusive Hotels, GP Solutions, Grand City Hotel, Hotel Jalta, House of Modern Living, Jigsaw Conferences, Parker Car Service, Signature Cars, Supercity, transfer4me, Traveltime and TRX.
Charlie Herbert, trading director of first time exhibitor Travelodge - the fastest growing budget hotel chain in the UK – said: “We are exhibiting at the Business Travel Show to position ourselves as the better deal for business for the savvy business traveller. We will also be promoting the Travelodge business account card and our corporate rate and package proposition.”
“We’re delighted with the support the industry is showing towards the 2012 Business Travel Show,” commented event director David Chapple. “It’s testament both to the resurging confidence within the market after a couple of very harsh trading years, and also the continual injection of investment into the Business Travel Show in recent years to ensure it continues to deliver for buyers and suppliers.
“We’re well on track to have more than 200 suppliers in the hall next February, an increase of 30 per cent on 2011. This will be the most comprehensive and diverse supplier gathering in Europe. We will also have 1200 hosted buyers taking part in the world’s largest corporate travel hosted buyer programme. 2012 is going to be a very exciting year for the Business Travel Show and a very exciting business prospect for buyers and suppliers alike.”
